Summary: Drabble: In Captain Spock's office, there's a photo.



The ready room on Captain Spock's ship is rather sparse. There are bookshelves filled with Starfleet regulations. There is a simple couch in front of his desk. It's always neat and tidy. Everything has its own logical place right down to the pens on his desk and console.

In such an austere atmosphere, there is one piece that stands out.

A simple metal frame sits at his desk. The back continuously faces all who enter and reveals its contents to he who sits in the chair. Captain Spock hadn't shown anyone what exactly entails of the frame's contents. But should one catch him in a fleeting moment, they would see his lips turn up just a tiny bit and his eyes soften at the content.

What smiles back at him from within the frame is a video clip of Commander Nyota Uhura, professor of xenolinguistics at Starfleet Academy. The clip was not recorded at any special location or had any premise or meaning. It was filmed in their home one morning when she decided to make breakfast. The clip itself was her turning around and smiling brightly at him.
